I’m still in a bit of shock. My oldest daughter is ENGAGED. I couldn’t be happier for her. She’s found a good guy and I know they will continue to be great together.

I will forever see her as a little girl though. She can graduate college, be on the verge of becoming a doctor and yes engaged to be married, but I will forever remember her as a five-year-old dancing around in a hula skirt. This denial over time has created an issue - I didn’t save for her wedding.

Any big challenge needs a big solution. I’m going to sell stuff from my garage to help pay for this wedding. So, the Garage Bride was born.

My garage is a cornucopia of the miscellaneous; a collection of misfit items and one-hit wonders. I don’t need any of it as much as I need to make sure her special day is as special as it can be.
